Copy Editing Committee: The purpose of the copy editing committee is to assist the Georgia Peanut Gallery with updating blog posts and publishing content.
- Duties include organizing the thoughts and ideas of monitors into publish-ready content, and/or assisting with keeping the Georgia Peanut Gallery Blog up to date with announcements and new information.
- Wanted skills include: proficiency in google documents, ability to listen and type at the same time, experience in editing or blogging.
- Requirements: computer or tablet and stable wifi
Social media committee: The purpose of the social media committee is to assist the New Georgia Project in creating and posting content on various social media platforms.
- Duties include creating and posting content throughout the year.
- Wanted skills include: proficiency in Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Canva, and marketing design.
- Requirements: computer or tablet, and stable wifi
Research committee: The purpose of the research committee is to assist the New Georgia Project in conducting research on various topics throughout the year and especially during election cycles.
- Duties include gathering data, synthesizing data, and creating a comprehensive report.
- Wanted skills include: background or interest in research and/or data collection and analysis, proficiency in Google sheets and or excel spreadsheets.
- Requirements: computer or tablet and stable wifi
Volunteer Recruitment Committee: The purpose of this committee is to increase the number of volunteers for the New Georgia Project.
- Duties include reaching out to community members in various counties in order to gain more volunteers.
- Wanted skills: excellent communication, ability to draft comprehensive emails, attention to detail, high level customer service.
- Requirements: cellphone, laptop or tablet, and stable wifi
Region Captains: This role is for volunteers who are seeking more of a leadership role with the New Georgia Project.
- Duties include managing other volunteers and assigning tasks to other volunteers
- Wanted skills: good communication, strong leadership skills, good organization skills.
- Requirements: cellphone, laptop or tablet, and stable wifi
Election Day Volunteers: This role is for volunteers who want to facilitate making sure that election day runs smoothly.
- Duties include going out to voting sites and making sure voters know where to go, handing out masks, handing out water bottles.
- Wanted skills: good communication, strong people skills
- Requirements: transportation to the polling sites, ability to answer voting questions (training provided)
- NOTE: You will be connected with our Election Protection Director for assignment if you express interest in Election Day activities.
