We are fighting back against the Right and Ron DeSantis in their full scale attack on the autonomy of people needing abortion or gender affirming care in Florida. We seek a world with real reproductive choice and justice including universal childcare and universal healthcare with free coverage of abortion and gender care — as opposed to the cruel discrimination and austerity we live under today. To win that world, we must hold the line on reproductive rights. Here in the Panhandle we are committed to passing the Amendment 4 abortion rights ballot initiative and fighting for full reproductive justice, trans rights, and bodily autonomy.

Feminist movements both here and abroad have taught us that the way to stop Right-wing attacks on reproductive rights is by building working-class movements of the majority that can contest power at the ballot box, in our workplaces, and in the streets. To win, we need to build people power, worker power, and the power of a mass movement — willing to fight back. The Democratic Socialists of America is organizing for just that sort of movement.
