Protect Medicaid: No Tax Cuts for Billionaires at the Expense of Healthcare

Congress is preparing to cut $880 billion from Medicaid while extending tax breaks for the wealthy. This is unacceptable.

The proposed budget would strip healthcare coverage for millions of Americans—including children, seniors, and people with disabilities—all to finance tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.

Tell Congress: Reject cuts to Medicaid. Protect healthcare for vulnerable Americans.

I am writing to express my strong opposition to up to $880 billion in cuts to Medicaid as laid out in the current House GOP budget plan.

According to research from The Century Foundation, this $880 billion reduction is the equivalent of covering:

• All 31 million children currently enrolled in Medicaid
• 4.7 million older Americans in Medicaid
• 3.7 million people with disabilities in Medicaid

These cuts would be particularly devastating for residents in rural communities and working families across our nation who rely on Medicaid for essential services. I strongly urge you to listen to your constituents and reject any and all cuts to the Medicaid program.
