Protect Ohio’s Health Care!
Under Governor Kasich’s leadership, Ohio expanded Medicaid in 2014 using federal money to pay for the majority of the cost. Medicaid expansion ensures that nearly 700,000 Ohioans have affordable health care coverage. Without it, many children and working people wouldn’t have access to any kind of health care.
Medicaid expansion also funds life-saving recovery programs for people who suffer from opioid addiction. And because it is almost entirely funded with existing federal dollars, it helps provide essential health care to thousands without putting a financial strain on Ohio. In fact, the expanded program helps create jobs.
But Medicaid expansion and other important health care programs for Ohioans are under threat.
We need to make Ohio healthier for everyone who lives here, regardless of income or preexisting medical conditions. Sign the petition now and call on our lawmakers to save our state money and protect health care coverage for 700,000 Ohioans by defending Medicaid Expansion.
