Local Redistricting Interest Form

Right now, counties, cities, and school districts across Alabama are redistricting - a once-in-a-decade process that affects so many aspects of our communities.

No matter our color, background, or zip code, voters should pick the leaders, not the other way around. District lines should give our votes equal weight and equal stature and our communities access to equal resources for education, roads, and healthcare.

Redistricting means more than the boundaries of our city council districts, county commissioner districts, and school board districts changing! The district lines drawn during this cycle will impact our lives for the next decade because decisions will be made about how resources are distributed to Alabama communities for the next ten years.

You are an expert on your own community! Whether it’s knowing the best bbq joint, where everyone hangs out after school, or the best spot to catch the next big one, you know what your community needs to thrive. By working together, community members can advocate for positive changes, help shape the process, and give our communities a better outcome for the next decade.
