Recover the money wasted on duff PPE

To: UK Government

A pest control company, an opaque fund owned through a tax haven and a confectioner are just a few of the unusual companies who have made a fortune from PPE contracts.

Awarded without fair competition, Government abandoned all normal practice to hand out these huge contracts, many going to Conservative friends and donors. The result? Many hundreds of millions - likely to be many billions - spent on PPE that can’t be used.

Companies shouldn’t be able to walk away with hundreds of millions of pounds of taxpayers money when they failed to deliver. This money should be in the public purse, not lining the pockets of the well-connected.

It’s time to put an end to the COVID-19 goldrush. Government must conduct a full review of the companies who did not deliver adequate PPE and recover the profits from those who benefitted.

Will you sign the petition and demand the money wasted on duff PPE is recovered?
