Recruit volunteers with SURJ Ohio!
SURJ Ohio is part of an amazing coalition in Hamilton County that's focused on building power for the long haul! Right now, they're doing powerful work on the local election and getting dangerous people out of office - going after the Sheriff, Prosecutor and Judges!
SURJ Ohio is building a phone banking program to connect with white voters to bring them into alignment with racial justice at the ballot box and to support the visions of Black and Brown leaders in Cincinnati. And we're intentionally reaching out to white people who have a shared interest in criminal justice reform - poor and working class white people.
We need your help recruiting volunteers for our phone-banking program! We'll be calling people in the SURJ network in Ohio to ask them to phone bank with us. We have two volunteer recruitment sessions:
- October 13th from 6pm to 9pm
- October 15th from 6pm to 9pm
We'll provide training, a script, and tips for connecting with potential volunteers. You're welcome to join us no matter what level of experience you have with phone banking!
SURJ Ohio is a statewide network of groups and individuals working to undermine white support for white supremacy. Through campaign work, community organizing, mobilization, and education, SURJ moves white people to act as part of multi-racial coalitions for justice with passion and accountability. SURJ provides a space to build relationships, skills and political analysis to act for change.
