Reporting Problems with Shelters for Queer/Undocumented Youth

While the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is doing their best to change policies to be friendlier to LGBTQ and undocumented folks, there are miles left to go before that happens. In conversation with folks at HUD, we've discovered that one of the biggest problems they're facing is that they don't hear stories directly from the ground about what challenges folks are facing daily in finding a place to stay -- especially stories from folks who are LGBTQ and/or undocumented.

We want to collect those stories so that we can get a better sense of what's happening on the ground, whether good policies are being violated, and what new policies need to be enacted.

Fill out the form below to tell your story -- we'll share it (without any identifying information) with HUD so that we can start to address some of the problems that are facing those who are seeking emergency shelter.
