THE 2019 LNS
NATIONAL LABOR CONVERGENCE ON CLIMATE
The Labor Network for Sustainability will convene a National Labor Convergence on Climate in Chicago on June 28-30, 2019. The National Labor Convergence follows a series of regional convergences held in 2018 and a Northern California Convergence which is in the planning stages for spring 2019.
The 2019 Labor Convergence on Climate will be a national working session to define worker and community-led proposals for a National Mobilization for Climate Protection. The LNS proposal for the NMCP is built on the premise that working people have developed or are developing the solutions that can contribute to such a mobilization. Achieving such a plan will not be possible without the support and leadership of significant sectors of the labor movement.
Space is limited, and therefore by invitation-only, so not everyone who may want to attend will be invited to do so. If you would like to be nominated to attend, please complete this form.
Doing so does not commit you to attend but will enable you to have your request to do so considered. Final determination will be made based on the need to achieve balance and diversity objectives by gender/gender-orientation, age, race, ethnicity, occupation/sector, union/organization, location and other factors.
