Tell your employer they MUST match the retention pay bonuses!

Nursing home workers are essential! California’s long-term care providers endure dangerous and punishing working conditions during the pandemic. We’ve experienced the ordeal and physical strain of fighting to keep the public safe during a fast-spreading, deadly and prolonged event. We know that the extraordinary commitment and sacrifice we make every day deserves more than lip service. That’s why SEIU 2015 members fought for and won a state budget that includes one-time payments to keep California’s underappreciated healthcare workforce on the job.

Retention Pay is a one-time payment for healthcare workers, including skilled nursing facility workers. Although we have won this payment, we need to make sure that your employer is applying and providing matching funds so that you can qualify for a full payment!

We need as many members to sign our petition to Nursing Home employers so that nursing home workers can get the full pay that we deserve. We know when we use our strength together, we win.
