On Saturday, American Jews woke in terror to the news of the shooting of 11 Jews at Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in the history of the United States.

We know that this antisemitic attack on our community is not an isolated incident or the doing of a lone shooter. Trump and the Republicans are directly responsible for this wave of white nationalist terrorism sweeping the country. From the massacre in Pittsburgh to the attempted bombings of Jewish and Democratic leaders across the country, Trump and his allies have incited white nationalists and neo-Nazis.

Now, the week before the midterm elections, is the time to act.

We do not have to watch quietly as the most fringe, extreme people in our country are given license by those in power to hurt and kill those who do not look or pray like them.

Join hundreds of Jews from all over the country on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 8:30 pm EST to grieve together and take action to stop white nationalists and the Republicans who enable them. We will also hear from members of our community who have deep roots in Pittsburgh on how we can support them and those communities.

American Jews and our allies will not allow white nationalists to divide and conquer this country. We have seen antisemitism and racism used by corrupt leaders to consolidate power for generations. We will not let it happen here and now, in America.
