Scholarship Application

The Witness for Peace Solidarity Collective is pleased to offer partial scholarships for participants on our delegations to Colombia, Cuba, and Honduras. Delegates who receive scholarships are asked to contribute in kind by volunteering some of their time and skills to educate, inspire and mobilise others to action. We hope that you will share a short essay or video on your experience and that you will remain connected to our work to change US policy and defend the rights of the Global South. Scholarships should be accompanied by self-motivated fundraising efforts. We are here to support you with many ideas and resources.

Applications will be reviewed based on the following:

  • Financial need

  • Your ideas and commitment to use your delegation experience as a way to educate, inspire and mobilize others for action

  • Your past or ongoing work on related political issues and/or community engagement

  • Priority will be given to people who have been historically under-represented- despite their consistent leadership in movement - including people who are LGBTQ, Black, Indigenous, of color/with roots in the Global South

Applications are due two months before the start of the delegation. Due to the limited nature of financial assistance, applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Contact your regional organizer, if you have additional questions about scholarships.
