This summer, we would like to schedule three events: next SEPA Together Leadership gathering and two trainings: elections strategy and organizing 101.  

1. SEPA Together Leadership BBQ Social:  For our next regional leadership gathering, we would like to have a family social.  After some brief updates about regional SEPA Together matters, members would be encouraged to socialize with other leaders and their families.  It will be hosted by Brian Burychka in Conshohocken.

2. Fundamentals of Community Organizing: This training is about getting people to reflect on the meaning of the word 'power" and their relationship to power. It will challenge participants on their conceptions and misconceptions about power and set them on a course to be effective leaders and changemakers. Specific topics include organizing tools (one on one conversations, meetings and direct actions), political analysis and facing burnout. This training is being offered by Reclaim Philadelphia.

3. Elections Strategy: This training will help leaders of grassroots groups develop and refine their election strategy (for local, state and national elections). Topics include organizing strategies, election lifecycle and progressive infrastructure overview, and voting trends and targeting. There will be breakout time for individual groups to reflect on their strategy. This meeting is being offered by America Votes in partnership with other political organizers.
