Immigrants and allies were arrested today, Thursday October 29 after forming a human chain in front of North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory’s mansion to protest his signing of HB 318 into law yesterday. Make no mistake, they were arrested for standing up for themselves and their community, and now it’s our turn.

HB 318 is Trump-like legislation that seeks to deny identifications and the right to due process to undocumented immigrants. Today’s action sent a clear message to Governor McCrory - that the people of North Carolina reject the ugliness of his actions and won’t stand by idly as he attacks the most vulnerable in our communities.
