Did you know that you can apply for FINANCIAL AID from your hospital or that you can NEGOTIATE your hospital bill?

This is information that hospitals DON'T want you to know! Here at EMDMaryland, our goal is to get the word out to make sure that every Marylander knows that they have options and rights when the hospital bill arrives.

Our volunteers are trained and ready to engage with your community through group presentations, small group or one-on-one conversations, printed and digital flyers, and more.

Here are ways you can get involved!

1. Request flyers and materials from EMDMaryland to hand out to your friends, neighbors, colleagues, book club, knitting circle, etc. on your own
2. Invite trained volunteers from EMDMaryland to come speak to your community group or church
3. Schedule a day to canvass your neighborhood with trained EMDMaryland volunteers
4. Host an event with EMDMaryland that brings together community members to have conversations about experiences with hospital billing and to ask questions to EMD's volunteer lawyers who want to help.
