In 2017, it’s almost shocking we need to declare “Yes, I believe in science!” — but Trump’s attacks on science have showed us we need to publicly support scientists more than ever before.

Since Trump took office, he has relentlessly targeted science and scientists. Most famously, Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris Agreement, an international effort to tackle global warming. We’re now one of only three countries in the entire world that aren’t on board with the climate accord — and horrifyingly, Trump is proud of that.

This science-denying sentiment isn’t just at the very top — it runs deep through the Trump administration. From Energy Secretary Perry refusing to acknowledge humans have anything to do with climate change to EPA administrator Pruitt replacing scientists with fossil fuel executives, attacks on science run rampant.

Let’s show the Trump administration there are countless Americans who DO believe in science.
