Conservatives are furious that Trump press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is being called a "liar" when she says things that are not true.

"Journalists shouldn’t be the one to say the President or his spokesperson is lying," said conservative activist Matt Schlapp on CNN. "What that does to 50 percent of the country is make them feel they are not credible to listen to."

A Washington Post analysis on May 1, 2018 found that Donald Trump had made over 3,000 false or misleading claims since becoming president, or over 6.5 lies per day.

Republicans have such a hard time with the truth, that Kellyanne Conway had to argue "alternative facts" that Donald Trump had a good turnout at his inauguration.
