Stand together with the Baltimore County Public Library Employees' campaign to join the IAM to secure a strong voice at work and a chance to bargain for the working conditions they need and deserve.
Landmark legislation sponsored by Maryland State Sen. Shelly Hettleman and Del. Cathi Forbes recently authorized nearly 600 Baltimore County Public Library (BCPL) employees to collectively bargain and join the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM).
For almost two years, the IAM has worked with Baltimore County Public Library employees and Maryland elected officials to help that become a reality.
- An IAM contract will give library staff a voice in the decision making process.
- Allow them the ability to negotiate wages, benefits and working conditions.
- Create a safe working environment.
- Provide stability, respect, and dignity.
The Baltimore County Public Library employees have always stepped up to take care of the Baltimore County community.
Please support our heroes as they vote to give themselves a voice in the workplace.
