Sign the petition: Congress must investigate DeJoy’s deadly cover-ups

Under Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s leadership, U.S. Postal Service workers are not receiving Heat Illness Prevention Program (HIPP) training and their records are being falsified to say that they had. This has, very tragically, resulted in the death of a USPS worker as pressure mounts, under DeJoy’s leadership, to deliver the mail faster under extreme heat conditions.

Summer 2023 was the hottest on record. USPS workers are not being trained on prevention and management of heat illness, breaks are discouraged, and OSHA citations are being dismissed. This is a very serious situation that DeJoy has yet to not only address, but fully rectify.

Trump-holdover DeJoy, who should have been ousted long ago and who should be investigated for a slew of issues, is fully responsible for the protection of USPS workers under his leadership. This tragedy cannot be repeated. Congress must step in to ensure that carrier safety is paramount before the next record-breaking summer heat.

Sign the petition to Congress: Investigate the record falsifying under DeJoy’s leadership and ensure the safety of our USPS postal workers.
