As of May 26, 2021, South Carolina seems poised to resume executions, forcing prisoners to choose between being fried to death in the electric chair, or shot to death with a firing squad. While the legal community will do everything possible to keep executions from resuming, it is time for South Carolinians to organize. Death Penalty Action is providing a platform to begin collecting contact information for anyone who wants to be involved in the creation of a new unified effort to stop executions and restrict or repeal state laws which allow capital punishment.
