Election protection volunteers are voters’ first line of defense against suppression tactics, confusing laws, outdated infrastructure, and other impediments at the polling stations.

With the 2020 general election right around the corner, Common Cause New York will be training and deploying hundreds of nonpartisan volunteers to identify voter intimidation, help voters troubleshoot problems and report bad practices at polling places to election authorities. In light of COVID-19, we’re recruiting volunteers to help in two different ways. Sign up to:

• Rove – by bike or car – between assigned polling places
• Monitor social media for voters who need help, polling place problems and mis/disinformation.
