I would like to thank everyone who has been part of the campaign so far, from local members and unions. I have been blown away by the hard work of activists, the knowledge of members and the eagerness to take on the Tories.

I know that we will win Wolverhampton back for Labour and I am excited to begin leading that fight even if now I will have to wait a little longer.

While the selection may have been paused, our campaign will continue. I will look to meet and engage with as many local Wulfranians as possible.

Let's build a positive broad church campaign so we can take on the Tories from a position of strength, together.
