The U.S. Senate rejected common-sense gun safety legislation on Monday--a horrifying display of cowardice and a shocking insult to the victims of the Orlando gun massacre.

In response, a group of House Democrats, led by civil rights veteran John Lewis, held a sit-in on the House floor to demand gun safety reform. Our elected officials literally turned to civil disobedience.
