SPAN (Stop Prison Abuse Now), based in Miami, Florida, is a collaboration among individuals and organizations seeking to improve conditions of confinement of inmates, especially those with mental illness, who are incarcerated in Florida's prisons. We advocate for improvements, both by bringing to the attention of responsible officials and agencies concerns that need to be addressed, and by sending information to the media and speaking in public. 

We are not an investigative organization - that is, we do not have subpoena power or any official powers - rather, we work to learn of problems, and to bring them to the attention of others. To that end, we have developed this form, designed to assist us in bringing together the information shared with us by inmates, their family members, and their supporters.
