Swing Left Marin and Sister District Marin Events and Actions

Moving forward, our priorities for 2021 and 2022 will be:

  • Virginia state legislative campaigns in 2021
  • Arizona campaigns and support for grassroots organizers
  • Re-electing Josh Harder in CD-10

Our first major race is right around the corner. On Tuesday, November 2, Virginia voters cast their ballots for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General and the House of Delegates.

Here are the important actions and events to join in the days ahead:

1. Big Send Results webinar, Thursday, Sept. 30, 5 pm

Vote Forward letters have been shows to increase turnout by up to 3.6%, and the full analysis of the impact in 2020 will be unveiled at the Big Send Results event on September 30th at 5 pm Pacific.

Sign up for the Big Send Results Webinar HERE.

Meanwhile, the first wave of letters to Virginia voters have been dropped off, and there’s a new wave ready for us to write. There are close to 500,000 letters in this "Please Vote" wave, and you can claim voters here. Please Vote letters should be dropped in the mail on October 16th.

Watch this newsletter for in-person and Zoom letter-writing events.

2. Postcards to Virginia voters at Gott's, Wednesday, Oct. 6

The Postcard Party is back at Gott's in Greenbrae on October 6th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Gott's is at 302 Bon Air Center, Greenbrae, CA 94904.

Thanks to your hard work -- we have already mailed more than 8,000 cards to Virginia to help get out the vote and defend the Virginia Democratic Trifecta for the November 2021 election. Let's see if we can send 8,000 more before the end of October!

3. Zoom reception with Josh Harder, Wednesday, Oct. 13, 5-6 pm

https://harder.house.gov/aboutPlease join Swing Left Marin, Swing Left Peninsula, Swing Left San Francisco, South Bay Swing Left and Swing Left Santa Cruz on October 13th for a virtual reception with Representative Josh Harder (CA-10).

Keeping Josh in Congress is essential to keeping the House Blue. After their stinging Recall defeat, California's GOP has the House in its sights. California's 10th Congressional District is at the top of the Republicans' list to flip back in 2022. It will be one of the toughest races in the country.

Donating will act as your RSVP. The Zoom link will be provided 24 hours before the event. And be sure to check out the latest news from Josh: Harder Pushes for Overtime and Premium Pay Fix for Federal Firefighters.

But wait! There's more:

Meet our House candidates in Virginia 2021

We are supporting two excellent candidates in November's upcoming race: Debra Gardner, who is seeking to flip House District 27, and "Fragile Incumbent" Chris Hurst, who needs our help to hold House District 12.

Virginia made so much progressive history when we helped elect a trifecta in 2019. Let’s make sure we help to keep that momentum by supporting our Sister District/Swing Left candidates. Donate through Sister District and your contribution will be split evenly between our two candidates.
