Take Action with Youth Demand!

Youth Demand is a resistance campaign fighting for an end to genocide. We demand a two-way arms embargo on Israel and a cancellation of all the new oil and gas drilling licences that have been granted since 2021.

Direct action has forced the Labour government to suspend 30 existing arms export licences to Israel but this is not good enough, this amounts to less than 10% of licences! How can Labour let over 300 other licences remain active when they themselves have admitted there is a 'clear risk' of 'serious violation of international humanitarian law'.

It’s a sick joke, but it does show how scared they are of the people in resistance. We need to go back out and take even bigger and bolder actions to show that we won’t stop until our demands are met!

Here's the plan:

We've taken plenty of actions throughout spring and summer but that’s just the start. This October and November we have plans to get back on the streets for more nonviolent resistance, including an extensive plan for roadblocks in the form of swarms. This action involves a small group of action takers blocking traffic together for very short periods of time, before moving to another site to repeat the swarm, with the intention of carrying out multiple swarms in one day.

Actions will be inclusive, and all are welcome to join. We will be offering training, so we all know what to expect and we know how to look after each other. There is also training on nonviolence, the police, de-escalation and more, so everyone is well equipped to deal with any situation that arises.
