Tell Congress: Reform Marijuana Laws In The Lame Duck

Reporting by Axios indicates that the Senate is considering including marijuana reform as part of the end-of-the-year legislative session, including addressing expungements for previous convictions and normalizing adult-use programs now active in 21 states.

Now is always a good time for justice - so sign the petition demanding that Congress take action!

The text of the petition is as follows:

Congress,

Nearly 7 in 10 Americans support the legalization of marijuana and ongoing federal prohibition makes it harder for states to implement successful reform programs that support small businesses and the expungement of criminal records for those who have been harmed.

Now is the time to take action to support the millions of Americans who have been subjected to a marijuana-related arrest and criminal conviction. Branding these individuals as lifelong criminals serves no legitimate purpose and results in a litany of lost opportunities including the potential loss of employment, housing, voting rights, professional licensing, and student aid.

Now is the time to take action!
