Tell Congress: To Fight Inflation you Must Take on Corporate Greed and Concentrated Power

Across the country, Americans are feeling the impact of inflation. From groceries to gasoline and basic household items, essential products are becoming more expensive.

This has caused a huge financial burden for millions of working-class Americans that are still recovering from the worst pandemic in more than a century.

While inflation lowers real wages for workers, corporations simply pass these higher prices onto consumers, increasing their profit margins at the expense of everyone else.

Current inflation levels are the quintessential example of corporate greed and concentrated power.

In pursuit of higher and higher profit margins, corporations are raising prices across the board and blaming inflation for these increased costs.

But, it is monopoly pricing power that has led to corporations raising prices to the point where consumers are feeling the squeeze.

In fact, almost two-thirds of the largest publicly traded US companies reported better profits in 2021 than in 2019. [1]

Whether it's meatpackers like Tyson Foods or fast food companies like McDonald’s, numerous corporations are posting higher profit margins as they fleece consumers and blame inflation. [2]

With inflation at its highest levels in decades, corporate greed and concentrated power must be reigned in.

As working families struggle, massive corporations are seeing sky-high profits.

It’s time to draw a line in the sand and show these companies that their profits are not more important than the financial well-being of millions of struggling Americans. American families need help with skyrocketing costs.
