Tell Congress to put kids over corporations in the lame-duck session

Congress has come to an agreement on a framework for an end-of-year budget bill. No deal on taxes has been announced yet, but we know that the lobbying from billionaire corporations has been intense. Democrats have said they want to expand the Child Tax Credit and lower child poverty, while Republicans want to extend costly corporate tax cuts from the Trump-GOP tax scam. And both parties support a bill that would provide tax breaks that mostly encourage the wealthy to save for retirement and do little to help working people.

We demand that Congress prioritize making investments in working families—like the Child Tax Credit—and reject more corporate tax breaks and more tax subsidies that help the wealthy to fatten their already swollen retirement accounts. Congress must stand up for kids, not corporate tax cuts.
