Tell lawmakers: home care workers need a raise!

YES! I believe that all home care workers deserve a raise to support our families while providing quality care. Send a comment now to show your support -- it only takes a few minutes to make a difference.

Each year, home care workers face cruel budget cuts, minuscule (if any) wage increases, and crippling personal debt due to the high cost of things like housing, food, and healthcare. It's not getting any better and we've reached a breaking point.

Our state's demographics are changing. By 2036, the number of people 65 or older will likely grow to 12.4 million people. So many people need care and aren't getting it because of a lack of investment from the state. And so many people are leaving the caring industry due to low wages and lack of benefits. Those who deserve care should receive it from people who are fairly paid and respected.

There's something wrong when those of us that care for our most vulnerable populations don't make enough to take care of our own families. It's time to do something about it. Join us and SIGN THIS PETITION and leave an additional comment if you believe that hard-working home care workers in North Carolina deserve increased wages.
