Those of us who want a change at the next election will have to act differently by voting tactically for the progressive party best placed to win.

We know how hard it is to put your X in the box for a candidate who isn't your first choice but, in our current First-Past-The-Post voting system, this is what millions of us have to do to beat the Conservatives. For Didcot & Wantage, the candidate who fits this double bill is the LibDem candidate, Olly Glover.

In the 2019 general election, the LibDems were placed 2nd to the Conservatives in the Wantage constituency, receiving 21,432 votes. This gave them more than twice as many votes as Labour. Since 2019, Conservative support has plummeted enabling the LibDems to close the gap.

So, it's going to be a tight race, which is why tactical voting will be crucial to getting Olly over the line.
