Captive audience meetings sound just as bad as they are—they’re intimidation tools used by employers to force workers to listen to anti-union rhetoric to keep them from collectively organizing.

These meetings are done during work hours to force attendance and create environments where employees fear retaliation for union support.

Major corporations, from Amazon to Starbucks to Trader Joe’s are rolling out intense anti-union tactics as stores across the country come together to collectively bargain—and captive audience meetings are a major tool in their union-busting toolbox.

But state governments are fighting back! Six states have already enacted legislation to ban captive audience meetings! We need to take this movement nationwide! We can’t allow these corporations to continue infringing on workers' rights to organize.  

By abolishing captive audience meetings, workers will be able to organize for better workplaces without fear of intimidation or retaliation.
