Text Shifts for Un Dia Sin Inmigrantes!

May 1st - Un Día Sin Inmigrantes is less than 2 weeks away! This mobilization is shaping up to be the largest immigrant-led strike since the mega marches of 2006. Right now we need all hands on deck to help us with digital recruitment and onboarding with our peer to peer texting system.

Cosecha is using Peer to peer texting, a way to have conversations over text message with many people at once. It is a more efficient way to do phone banking and has worked really well for Cosecha.

Please sign up to take on a texting shift of an hour or two either this weekend, next week, on May 1st, or the following week.

We will be in touch shortly with everyone who signs up to let you know the plan and share the scripts with you for the texting campaigns. If you are new to the Cosecha Text program, we will reach out so you can get trained in how to use the system. It is easy to use and you can text from the comfort of your home using your computer or on the road with your phone.

After you sign up, you will be directed to join the Cosecha Slack - please enter your email and follow the invitation to join the channel. This is how we communicate as a team. Thank you!

P.S. We especially need volunteers who can speak Spanish, so please indicate to us if you speak Spanish on the form.

P.P.S. Please share this link to anyone who might have a few hours to help us reach more people before, during, and after the May 1st strike.
