Amidst a historic rise in hate crimes against Jews, Muslims, and people of color, Trump announced Muslim Ban 2.0 today.

The Trump Administration is breeding an atmosphere of violence and the Jewish community is seeing the effects in our cemeteries, schools, and community centers. The connection between Trump’s official policy actions and the vigilante acts of hate are clear.

AIPAC -- the most powerful Jewish political institution in this country -- is ignoring this crisis and choosing to cozy up to the Administration. They have already invited Vice President Pence to speak at their annual policy conference, and we are betting that Trump himself will show up.

They would have us believe that -- given the danger that exists for us as Jews -- maintaining military control over another people is the only way to keep us safe.

In this time of crisis, we cannot be silent -- we must stand arm in arm with Muslims and other marginalized communities in this country. Our community has a responsibility to invest in the resistance against Trump.
