We the drivers of Uber and Lyft are going on a targeted Strike on Sunday, February 26th with no pick-ups at LaGuardia Airport for Uber and Lyft from 12PM to 12AM. We pledge to build this strike! Drivers pledge to stand in unity and demand Uber and Lyft give the raise that was due on December 19, 2022 that is costing drivers and our families $1 million in lost income every single passing day. We demand an end to deactivations where we are fired with no warning, reason or real right to appeal. Our job is taken away overnight while we are left with high financing/leases and insurance payments. We demand an end to Uber and Lyft taking the lion's share of the fare during surges. We demand to earn no less than $25 net take-home per hour after expenses, including double the rate on out-of-NYC fares and fair pay for drivers with premium cars who were promised higher rates to keep up with the higher costs. We do the work, pay the costs, take the risks and build Uber and Lyft's brand. Uber and Lyft's exploitation must end. We are ready to strike on February 26th, and as many times as necessary. Driver Power! Union Power!
