Volunteer Pledge: between You and Make Votes Matter

This Volunteer Pledge is a description of the arrangement between the two parties above in relation to voluntary work. The intention of this pledge is to outline the agreement that has been made regarding areas of work. Aside from the commitment to maintain confidentiality, which must be absolute, this agreement is in honour only, may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party, and is not intended to form a legally binding contract of employment.

Role: Phone-banking for the Labour For A New Democracy project

To work with a team of volunteers making calls to Labour members in order to secure CLP motions and conference delegate information to the next Labour Party conference.

Role Description:

To support the joint campaign to take motions to Labour conference by:

  • Attending an online training session.

  • Phoning Labour members in line with the approach set out in training.

  • Recording call outcomes following the agreed process.

Make Votes Matter: We appreciate and value your offer to volunteer to help change the Labour Party’s policy on Proportional Representation. We pledge to do the best we can to provide the support you need and to make your volunteer experience positive and rewarding.

By completeing this form you:

  • agree to work with other volunteers and team members respectfully, collaboratively, and in accordance with the training provided by Make Votes Matter.
  • commit to maintaining the confidentiality of information you have access to as a result of volunteering, both during and after the time of volunteering.
  • agree not to disclose any confidential information, including personal contact information, to any third party without the prior written agreement of Make Votes Matter.
