The NY legislature has introduced legislation to restore voting rights for all formerly incarcerated New Yorkers!

Despite New York’s progressive reputation, our state currently does not automatically grant formerly incarcerated individuals who are still on parole the right to vote. These men and women have paid their debt to society — they deserve the right to participate in our democracy and have their voices heard in government.

What kind of message does it send to people who are working to rejoin society and become active members of their communities if we deny them one of our nation’s most basic rights?

That’s why I’m personally asking you to stand with me in this fight and add your name in support of legislation that guarantees voting rights for all formerly incarcerated New Yorkers.
