We need a real plan to #FixOurSubway

The subway is the lifeblood of our city. If the subway dies, so does the city of New York. When I’m governor, I’m not going to let that happen.

It’s a disaster, and it’s getting worse every day. The trains are chronically late, and they're so crowded because they’re so backed up that you often can’t squeeze your way into the first one or two or three that go by. For New Yorkers who can’t afford to drive or take cars, the subway is the only option. It’s making us late for work, late to pick up our kids, and miss important appointments.

The emergency rescue of our subway system will be a top priority for Governor Cynthia Nixon.

We urgently need to create a dedicated revenue stream for new capital spending. At this point, merely keeping up with repairs isn’t going to be enough. As Governor, Cynthia would invest in repairing our century-old infrastructure, starting with replacing the signals. All transit experts agree that to get the trains moving reliably again, this is the place to start.
