We've always been here: Stories of Trans Idahoans

With each passing year, the Idaho Legislature increases their blatant attacks on Idaho's queer and trans communities (among others). This year, they are poised to pass 6 policies that would have a devastating impact on our community, specifically trans Idahoans. We are paying particular attention to HB71, the bill which would criminalize gender-affirming care for trans youth.
We want to elevate the stories of Idahoans who are trans because the legislature should not be allowed to pass such atrocious bills without first hearing from those whose lives they will be absolutely devastating. Sharing stories from community will, we hope, stir empathy and understanding from legislators.
We understand that this is a heavy ask, and it is a burden that you should not have to carry, to share your stories in this manner. However, if you are willing to do so, we would be so grateful. One particular myth that we are trying to dispel from the far right is that those who transition would regret it when and if they choose to have a family one day. If you have a story that could dispel this, that would show it's possible to live your most authentic life and start a family, we would love to hear from you.
Your stories will not be used without your consent. We will follow-up with you first to make sure we have your permission. And then, in collaboration with you, will create a plan for the best way to share your story with the legislature.
