• “My name is XX and I am committed to fair elections in Oakland and local government that gets things done because [personal anecdote about why you are committed to this project]”
  • Think about: What’s at stake for people you care about? What would fair elections make possible in Oakland? What connects you to this fight?

• “My name is XX and I know that if we change how elections work in Oakland, we can XX” (something that gets at what the people of Oakland can achieve with fair elections)
  • We want to tell a story about elected officials who will:
    • Have a real relationship with voters
  • • Come from the communities they represent
  • • Represent the needs of their constituents
  • • Do their jobs

VIDEO RECORDING GUIDELINES

• Go somewhere with minimal background noise
• Place the camera so you're looking slightly up at it or straight ahead, not down at the camera
• Make sure light is shining on your front, not shining on you from the back
• You can totally use a smartphone camera or laptop camera/webcam; just make sure to record in horizontal format

• When you speak, make sure to pause between sentences so we can cut what you say into smaller sound bites

• Please either share a link to your video in the form to the right or upload to this folder, without doing anything to the file in between. Avoid compressing the file by texting or emailing it to yourself or doing anything that would lower the quality/size of the video file.
