On Saturday 8th of February, we are hosting our Winter General Meeting in Leeds. This is your chance to hold our elected Young Greens to account and network with other brilliant activists.

To make the Young Greens Convention accessible to all, we are able to provide financial assistance to those who need it. We know that for many young people, financial costs often prevent full engagement in politics, especially in internal democratic processes. As such, we are providing financial assistance to cover the costs of travel and accommodation for the duration of Winter General Meeting.

We strongly encourage all those who feel that cost is a barrier to attending Winter General Meeting to fill in this form. If you are unsure about anything, including what or how much we can cover, any issues encountered while filling in this form, or have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch at admin@younggreens.org.uk.

Note: all information submitted through this form is strictly confidential and will not be shared without your permission. If you go on to make a claim through the Access Fund, these details may be shared in confidence with members of the Green Party’s finance team.

We encourage all attendees to use value and low-carbon travel options. You can often split your train ticket for a cheaper fare on https://trainsplit.com/, and coach services such as National Express and Megabus may prove less expensive than the train. Likewise, where possible please look for suitable accommodation and prioritise budget friendly options and consider splitting rooms with friends.

All approved applications work on a reimbursement basis. We encourage Access Fund applicants to purchase travel tickets as soon as possible. The deadline for applications to the Access Fund is 12:00 on 22nd February. Applications will be reviewed and approved after Winter General Meeting and an application to the access fund does not guarantee full reimbursement.
