This fundraiser is a call to support migrant justice and care work happening along the so-called U.S.–Mexico border.

The imperialist border disaster compounds with the disasters of colonization and climate crisis as more and more migrants seek refuge up north. Refugees deserve to be supported with food, clothing, shelter, referrals, accompaniment, and emotional support as they reach the border. And those on the frontlines organizing this support deserve to be in steady supply of resources to fulfill these needs wherever possible.

Mutual Aid Disaster Relief has built relationships with organizations on the ground who serve migrants through solidarity, deep compassion, and a radical commitment to migrant justice. MADR supports Contra Viento y Marea and No More Deaths and members of MADR are often active doing mutual aid in the borderlands.

Funds from this fundraiser will go toward supporting Contra Viento y Marea with their monthly rent costs for their kitchen and community center in Tijuana. They will also be used to continue other frontline border work as the need arises.
