Our communities are stepping up to run for office and participating in politics more than ever before. But our communities still lack much of the institutional support and political power that they need to be successful-and answer the Trump Administration's constant attacks.
That's why Trans United Fund invests in building trans political power and truly going to bat for trans, nonbinary, and ally candidates that share our values.
In 2018 alone, in support of progressive trans and pro-trans candidates across the country, Trans United Fund knocked on nearly 10,000 doors, made over 22,000 phone calls, and sent 85,106 texts. In 2018 Trans United Fund also donated $16,180 directly to trans candidates, engaged 28,188 people in an email program, and helped formulate pro-trans policy platforms for multiple candidates. We helped lead Yes on 3 to victory to protect trans nondiscrimination protections in Massachusetts, Gerri Cannon make history as the first openly trans state legislator elected in New Hampshire, and Brianna Titone make history as the first openly trans state legislator elected in Colorado.
But in order to keep investing in this deep level of support for trans candidates and trans political power, we need to raise $5,000 by December 31st. Can we count on you to build trans political power with us? Whether you can jump in with $500 one time or $50/month, every dollar will go towards funding more crucial wins for trans people in 2019.
