Hometown Action is celebrating it's 5-year anniversary! We've had some incredible victories over the past 5 years like helping to win the state’s first rural non-discrimination ordinance in 2018 and reaching over one million Alabama voters in 2020.
We've also learned the importance of building systems of mutual aid in the aftermath of disasters like the EF-4 tornado that killed 23 people in Beauregard, AL in 2019 and the statewide mask-making network that sewed over 200,000 cloth masks, fully outfitting hospitals and meatpacking plants in the early days of the pandemic.
As the only statewide organization in Alabama doing progressive rural organizing on a mass scale, we rely on individual supporters like you to fund a significant portion of our work. Your donation allows us to prioritize the needs of local communities and respond to unexpected crises.
