On Monday, July 12th, an unknown shooter opened fire into the WWJ office in Joliet.
While we’re so grateful our team is safe, we’re still left to pick up the pieces from the shooting. The bullets shattered our front door, which has since been boarded up to protect our space until we’re able to replace the glass.
Our goal is to raise $3,000 in donations to cover the cost of the boards, a new front door, and security cameras for our space.
Your support will help us repair our space and help make it a safe haven for the workers and community members to gather. We're grateful for any donation towards the cost of repairs and security cameras - if you're able, please consider a monthly recurring donation to support our fight for family-supporting jobs, an end to racial and gender discrimination, and environmental justice for Joliet and Will County.
As we take on powerful political interests aligned with warehouse employers and the Northpoint project, we’re asking you to stand in solidarity with WWJ and warehouse workers for a better future.
