In 1914, Mother Randle was born Lessie Benningfield and as a child became an eye witness to the largest act of domestic terror on U.S. soil - the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. The Massacre decimated Tulsa's thriving Black community of Greenwood. No one has ever been held accountable or paid reparations for the devastation wrought that day.
This week this incredible woman turned 106 years old, a testament to her dynamic life force and spirit of resilience in the face of a lifetime of emotional and physical distress that continues to this day as a result of this catastrophic childhood trauma.
We need your help to honor Mother Randle on this momentous occasion! Our goal is for 106 people to donate $106 to a woman who has waited a century for justice and is celebrating a milestone of a birthday. If you're able to give more or less than $106, please do!
