On July 2nd, 2020 Jason Charter's apartment was raided by an FBI and DC Park Police.
The FBI confiscated all electronic devices, clothing, and other items before taking him into custody and charging him with two felony counts of Destruction of property in relation to the Pike and Jackson statues in Washington DC.
The arrest was carefully orchestrated by the DOJ and the White House to coincide with Trumps Mount Rushmore appearance. A politically motivated arrest targeting one individual.
Donald Trump and the GOP have created a conspiracy narrative where Jason was apparently the ringleader at the racist statue protests. These politically motivated charges are a fabrication. Jason is innocent and not a leader of the movement that was started in wake of the deaths of People of Color at the hands of law enforcement. Jason is a passionate activist who believes in justice, and has protested side by side with those protesting the horrific death of George Floyd and countless other men and women because of the color of their skin.
