Yes, I want to support immigrant, asylum-seeking families traveling through Ohio with food, water and other necessary items.
Families are traveling from the border to be with their sponsors/families in north and northeastern cities. These buses are on the road for days and the children, babies and parents need food and water along the way.
Some buses leave from the Detention Center in Youngstown, OH and take immigrant men to be with their families in other US cities. These men are dropped at the bus station with no money, food, hygiene items or extra clothing. They then travel for days to be with their families.
Please see a story about this travel in the New York Times:

Donations will be used to purchase small backpacks for travel, diapers, baby wipes, non-refrigerated food items, hygiene needs and other related needs for their journeys. These will be distributed by volunteers in Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton Youngstown and Cleveland when buses stop on the routes.
This fund will also help support traveling immigrant families facing sudden special needs or emergencies - like sudden illness of a child or parent. And it will also help support asylum seeking families that remain here in central Ohio who face sudden emergencies and/or are in need of food.
UU Justice Ohio is a 501c3 organization and is coordinating donations and assisting with the purchase of supplies. This fund was started in honor of Columbus Activist, Ruben Herrera. You can contact UUJO at: uujoanvanb@gmail.com
