We’re helping to fund the airfares and hotels for 3 nights for 4 Starbucks workers and 10 Seattle DSA members to attend the Labor Notes Conference in Chicago.
To get these Starbucks workers and SDSA members to Chicago, we need to raise $6000.
Howard Schultz and Starbucks are willing to do whatever it takes to defeat the unionization drive, they’re willing to spend whatever it takes to ensure the profits keep flowing. We can’t match them dollar for dollar but what we can match is the willingness to do what’s needed to help win this.
Every dollar invested in this struggle tips the scales in favor of Starbucks workers, Amazon workers, Verizon’s workers, REI workers - workers across industries who are watching whats happening in these historic campaigns.
Can you donate $50, $100, or $250 to tip the scales in favor of workers?
Seattle is the hometown to some of the biggest, most rapacious corporations in the world. We can have a unique impact here. When the Starbucks workers unionized the Seattle Roastery - where Howard Schultz gets his coffee - that inspired other Starbucks workers. Seattle and the surrounding area has had the highest concentration of Starbucks strikes in a single geographical area.
Can you pitch in now to tip the scales for working people?
