We are the first citizens organization solely dedicated to a strong Foreign Service.  We are not concerned with policy. Our concern is that without a strong Foreign Service the ability of the State Department to fulfill its mission of protecting Americans will be impaired. Our consuls deserve our support as they work hard to assist  Americans who go abroad for study, work or travel. We are aiming for a world-wide network and are based in London. We want Congress to provide a strong budget, to increase hiring levels of both officers and support staff to much higher levels and to stand up for a strong career progression for career officers. We are not anti- political appointee but believe they should be of the highest caliber and not impede the career progression or aspirations of expert officers who have devoted their lives to public service.  We want to raise awareness among the American public of the value of our career Foreign Service.
